From storms and heat waves to earthquakes and tornadoes, we'll tackle the unique challenges and considerations that individuals with Hemophilia B and their loved ones may encounter during emergencies.

Join us as we learn techniques for navigating challenges like pandemics, food shortages, natural disasters, and a wide range of disruptions to daily life. Let’s start to prepare for when traditional services may be unavailable, ensuring continuity in emergencies.

This session offers a balanced approach to preparedness, exploring the use of valuable tools like go bags, ham radios, and access to government resources. Learn how to establish contingency plans for family members across different states, and lay the foundations now for community support and mutual aid during times of uncertainty. 

Expert Speaker:

WILLIAM PATSAKOS, PHARM.D

William Patsakos, Pharm.D, is a clinical pharmacist with CVS/Specialty, serving as a Client Relations Executive in their hemophilia division. A graduate of the U.S. Military Academy of Health Sciences, Long Island University, Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy, and Shenandoah University, Bill is also a retired Army captain and a lieutenant with the Fire Department of New York City. He lives in Staten Island with his wife and four sons, three of whom have factor 9 hemophilia. Bill has been an advocate on Capitol Hill, co-chair of numerous NYC walks, and Chair of Dads in Action for the NYC chapter. He has received several awards, including the "Eternal Spirit Award" in 2018.
