Generation IX: Leadership, Mentorship & Advocacy
WHAT IS THE GEN IX PROJECT?
If you are a young person living with hemophilia B, know that there are others like you—teens and young adults who will band together to learn how to do more, learn more, experience more, and be more than they thought possible.
The Coalition’s Generation IX Project is the only national program designed specifically for—and by—those living with hemophilia B.
Gen IX programs are hosted by the Coalition for Hemophilia B in partnership with GutMonkey, a group that creates unique interactive educational experiences. Teens (age 14-17) are mentored by young adults in the community (age 18 -30). Participants are taken out of their comfort zones and helped to do amazing things that push their limits and teach them the meaning of true teamwork. Separately, Leadership and Advocacy programs are training grounds for future leaders in our hemophilia B community, bringing together adults of all ages and training them to act as youth mentors and advocates.
