This is a further update on the news report of April 8, Manufacturers of Plasma-Derived Therapies Unite to Develop a Potential COVID-19 Therapy.

CSL Behring, a founding member of the CoVIg-19 Plasma Alliance, has joined a new coalition of world-leading medical and research institutions, blood centers, life science companies, technology companies, philanthropic organizations, and COVID-19 survivor groups that have come together to support the rapid  development of potential new therapies for patients with COVID-19.  This effort called “The Fight Is In Us”  is seeking to mobilize tens of thousands of people in the United States who have recovered from COVID-19 to donate their  plasma.  According to CSL Behring, this effort “is also expected to benefit the collection of plasma used in the manufacturing of CSL Behring’s portfolio of therapies to treat rare diseases.”

Visit TheFightIsInUs.org to see if you qualify to be a COVID-19 plasma donor and to find a donor center near you. Donations can be made at both blood and plasma donor centers using a simple self-screening tool. Donating blood plasma is a generally safe and proven process. More than 1,500 locations are available at which COVID-19 survivors can choose to donate.
